Pilots must ensure they do not harass or film local wildlife, such as the endangered broad-snouted caimans or native bird species inhabiting the shores. The vast open water surface provides excellent clear line-of-sight (VLOS) conditions, but operators should remain mindful of typical lake wind shears and avoid flying too close to the forested hillsides where GPS signals could occasionally be obstructed.
