DroneMap Contributor Awards

Earn rewards by improving DroneMap.

Submit useful rules, edits, and flying spot reviews to earn reputation. Reputation unlocks Bronze, Silver, and Gold Contributor Awards.

We are temporarily pausing all rewards while we ensure we can mail out awards to current users. Gold status will recieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards together in one shipment. Some countries are preventing us from mailing drones and we are actively working to find another solution.

Abuse, spam, and reward eligibility

DroneMap rewards are intended to encourage genuine, helpful contributions that improve the platform for other pilots. Contributions that appear to be spam, abusive, misleading, low-effort, duplicated, automated, artificially generated, or submitted primarily to manipulate reputation, rewards, rankings, or platform systems may be rejected, removed, reduced, or made ineligible for rewards.

DroneMap may withhold, adjust, reverse, or deny reputation points, badges, physical rewards, promotional rewards, account benefits, or any other contributor incentives if we determine that a contribution or user activity violates these terms, our community standards, or the intended purpose of the rewards program.

Activity that may affect reward eligibility includes, but is not limited to:

  • Submitting false, misleading, copied, unverifiable, or irrelevant information.
  • Creating spam, duplicate, abusive, offensive, or low-value contributions.
  • Creating or using multiple accounts to gain rewards unfairly.
  • Coordinating artificial activity to increase reputation, rankings, or rewards.
  • Attempting to exploit bugs, loopholes, review systems, automation, or platform logic.
  • Repeatedly editing or resubmitting content in a way that creates unnecessary review burden.
  • Any conduct DroneMap determines is inconsistent with fair participation.

Reputation rewards are tracked in a ledger so the same review or rule edit cannot stack reputation by being edited, resubmitted, or reprocessed.

DroneMap has the final authority to determine whether a contribution qualifies for rewards and how rewards are calculated, awarded, reduced, withheld, or revoked. Rewards are discretionary, not guaranteed, and may be modified, paused, limited, or discontinued at any time.
