Airspace / Site Context

  • Located on Lake Texoma (Texas/Oklahoma border); Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) Class B outer ring extends ~30 NM south -- the refuge is ~40 NM north of DFW
  • Gainesville Municipal (GLE) Class D is ~15 NM west; Ardmore Municipal (ADM) Class D is ~25 NM north in Oklahoma
  • Osprey nesting on the Lake Texoma coves; Bald Eagle Protection Act applies to resident and wintering eagle pairs
