World's Fair Park is a landmark 50 acre park located in the heart of downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, which was initially created for hosting the 1982 World's Fair. This park is easily identifiable with its distinctive Sunsphere tower that rises to a height of 266 feet and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding city skyline as well as the majestic Great Smoky Mountains range in the distance. The park boasts stunningly manicured lawns such as the expansive Performance Lawn, beautiful water elements in the form of fountains at Volunteer Landing, and walking trails that lead to the Knoxville Museum of Art and Knoxville Convention Center.
