You cannot fly a drone at Martin Van Buren National Historic Site in Kinderhook, NY, because it is a federally protected property managed by the National Park Service (NPS). However, you can legally launch outside of the park and fly over it. But if you crash or harass wildlife, you will be heavily fined

As with all national historic sites, monuments, and parks, Martin Van Buren NHS is subject to the agency-wide Policy Memorandum 14-05. This rule prohibits recreational drone takeoffs and landings on all NPS-administered land to preserve safety and historical integrity. The centerpiece of the park is Lindenwald, the 36-room mansion that served as the home of the eighth U.S. President, Martin Van Buren. The NPS bans drones near these fragile, historic properties because a high-velocity drone crash could chip historical masonry, shatter vintage glass windows, or damage structural elements that are incredibly expensive and difficult to restore.
