Panola Mountain State Park Drone Rule

Panola Mountain State Park is centered around a protected granite monadnock and conservation area east of Atlanta and is managed by Georgia State Parks.

Under Georgia State Parks regulations, drones may not be launched, landed, or operated within Panola Mountain State Park unless authorization has been granted through an approved permit or waiver process.

This restriction applies throughout Panola Mountain State Park, including the mountain preserve, conservation zones, hiking trail systems, nature education areas, visitor facilities, and recreation spaces located within the mapped park boundary.

Because Panola Mountain State Park protects sensitive natural resources and designated conservation areas, pilots should obtain authorization from Georgia State Parks before conducting drone operations within the park.
