Tugaloo State Park Drone Rule

Tugaloo State Park is located along the shoreline of Lake Hartwell in northeast Georgia and is managed by Georgia State Parks.

Under Georgia State Parks regulations, drones may not be launched, landed, or operated within Tugaloo State Park unless authorization has been granted through an approved permit or waiver process.

This restriction applies throughout Tugaloo State Park, including Lake Hartwell shoreline recreation areas, lakeside campsites, fishing locations, boat launch facilities, picnic shelters, and visitor-use areas located inside the mapped park boundary.

Because Tugaloo State Park provides direct public access to Lake Hartwell and associated recreation facilities, pilots should obtain authorization from Georgia State Parks before conducting drone operations within the park.
