No-fly zone within airport boundary. All unmanned aircraft operations are prohibited in Yamagata Airport airspace per MLIT regulations.


According to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) regulations, unmanned aircraft operations are prohibited within the airport boundary of Yamagata Airport. Operators must register with DIPS 2.0 (Drone Information Platform System 2.0) if flying outside this area. For operations within 9km of airports, airspace restrictions apply under the Civil Aeronautics Act. All drone operations require official permission from airport authorities.
