NO-FLY ZONE - PENITENTIARY AREA. Drone operations are strictly prohibited over and around the Bari Prison (Carcere di Bari) complex up to the published altitude limit. No unauthorized flights allowed at any time.


This geographic UAS zone is classified as a Prohibited/Restricted Area established to protect sensitive institutional infrastructure. Under Italian civil aviation regulations, all drone operations (UAS) within prison no-fly zones are restricted 24/7.

Permissions: Standard recreational or open-category flights cannot be authorized. Exceptional flight clearances are reserved exclusively for Specialized Operations (work/commercial purposes) and are subject to a formal "Nulla Osta" (clearance). Remote pilots must submit a request using the official ATM-05 form to the Department of Prison Administration (Amministrazione Penitenziaria) and ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) at least 15 days prior to the planned operation.
