Open all year besides April 15 - June 15 (bird nesting season)

This area is open all year to drone flyers and is a great place to get footage and photos of the giant icebergs. However, between April 15th and June 15th, drone flying is entirely restricted to protect bird nesting.

Since this area is part of Vatnajökull National Park, if you fly, you must abide by their flight policies (linked in sources).
