You must also register as a drone operator with the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA) and attach your operator ID (eID) to the drone.Liability Insurance: Drone liability insurance is legally mandatory for all drone operations in Germany.Crowds and Privacy: You are strictly forbidden from flying over crowds. Respect privacy laws by not filming or photographing people or private properties without explicit consent.No Flights During Markets or Events: The weekly market takes place every Saturday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Flying is strictly prohibited during this time due to the density of people, as well as during festivals like the Jahrmarkt or the Heider Winterwelt.Urban Safety Limits: The maximum legal altitude is 120 meters. You must keep the drone within your direct visual line of sight (VLOS) at all times.
