Drone Rules for Flugplatz Halle/ OT Oppin
Drone flights inside the 1.5-kilometer safety ring around Halle-Oppin aerodrome (EDAQ) are fully restricted without individual operational clearance. Due to heavy emergency medical helicopter traffic and active local flight schools, prior coordination with the tower is dynamic-mandatory before any drone launch.
The airspace environment around Halle-Oppin airfield demands highly defensive flight planning from local UAS operators. Under national geographical restrictions (§ 21h LuftVO), unauthorized drone deployments inside the 1.5 km lateral safety envelope are strictly limited to protect the active runway (11/29 orientation) and the primary base of the DRF air rescue helicopter (Christoph Halle). The location handles high-density traffic on the active radio frequency 122.205 MHz, creating invisible risks for low-altitude multirotors. Exceptional geographic waivers are only granted if remote pilots submit proof of specialized liability insurance, operational target coordinates, and their EU remote pilot certificate directly to the management board before starting any propulsion units. For official exception requests, paperwork processing, and direct tower authorization, contact the operating company, Flugplatzgesellschaft Halle/Oppin mbH, Flugplatz, 04435 Oppin (Direct desk phone: +49 34604 20242).
