Air Permission required Last updated: Jun 2, 2026

No-Fly Zone (Unauthorized Flight Prohibited): Drone flight over Marienhospital Stuttgart—as well as within a radius of 100 meters and 1.5 kilometers (helicopter landing pad)—is prohibited. Entry into this airspace is permitted only with the express consent of the operator; violations will be prosecuted.

In accordance with the German Air Traffic Regulations (LuftVO), the operation of unmanned aircraft systems is legally prohibited both directly over and within a lateral distance of 100 meters from the boundaries of Marienhospital Stuttgart. Furthermore, as the hospital is equipped with its own helipad for emergency medical services, this restricted zone extends to a lateral distance of 1.5 kilometers surrounding the boundaries of the airfield. Flight operations within these radii are permissible only if explicit, prior authorization has been obtained from the competent authority or the facility operator; notably, final clearance regarding the helipad rests directly with the operator of the landing site. Drone flights conducted without such explicit permission disrupt critical hospital operations, pose an acute safety risk to approaching emergency helicopters, and constitute a serious violation subject to rigorous criminal or administrative prosecution, as well as the immediate seizure of the drone.
