Drone operations are prohibited on airport property and within the active operational area of Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport due to intensive aircraft operations, flight training activity, and aviation safety requirements.

Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport (CYND) is a certified public airport serving the National Capital Region. The airport supports business aviation, flight training, general aviation, parachuting activities, and government aircraft operations.

Transport Canada requires drone pilots to avoid operating in a manner that could interfere with aircraft operating at or near an airport or aerodrome. Due to the volume of aircraft movements, training flights, and active runway operations, drone flights within the airport operational environment may create significant hazards to aviation safety.

This restriction applies to runways, taxiways, apron areas, airport facilities, aircraft parking areas, and the immediate approach and departure corridors surrounding the airport. Pilots must obtain any required authorization before conducting drone operations near the airport environment.
