Drone Rules for Aéroport Michel-Pouliot de Gaspé
Drone operations are prohibited on airport property and within the active operational area of Michel-Pouliot de Gaspé Airport due to regular aircraft movements and aviation safety requirements.
Michel-Pouliot de Gaspé Airport (CYGP) is a certified public airport owned by the City of Gaspé. The airport supports scheduled passenger flights, general aviation, business aviation, and regional air operations throughout the year.
Transport Canada requires drone pilots to avoid operating in a manner that could interfere with aircraft operating at or near an airport or aerodrome. Drone takeoffs, landings, or flights conducted within the airport operational environment may create hazards for arriving and departing aircraft.
The airport operates an active paved runway (10/28) approximately 5,500 feet long and supports both daytime and nighttime operations. This restriction applies to airport property, runways, apron areas, airport facilities, and the immediate aircraft approach and departure corridors.
Pilots should obtain any required authorization before conducting operations near the airport environment.
