Drone Rules for Gore Bay-Manitoulin Airport
Basic RPAS operations are not permitted within this zone. Gore Bay–Manitoulin Airport is surrounded by a Class E control zone from the surface up to 3000 ft ASL within a 5 NM radius. Drone flights in this area require NAV CANADA authorization and must follow controlled‑airspace procedures.
At this location, Gore Bay–Manitoulin Airport (CYZE) is designated Class E controlled airspace from the surface (SFC) to 3000 ft ASL, covering a 5 NM radius around the airport reference point as published in the NAV CANADA Designated Airspace Handbook. Drone pilots must obtain NAV CANADA authorization before flying and must hold the required Transport Canada certification and a drone approved for controlled airspace. Authorization may be restricted or denied based on airport traffic or safety considerations, and the rule applies at all times within the 5 NM Class E boundary.
