The Zoobotânico Municipal de São José do Rio Preto is a combined zoo and botanical conservation area located in the Jardim Nazareth region of the city. It was founded in 1973 and includes a significant fragment of native vegetation integrated with animal enclosures, educational spaces, picnic areas, and internal walking trails distributed across a medium-to-large urban ecological complex.

The site houses hundreds of animals from both Brazilian and international fauna, and is structured with open circulation areas, forested sections, and perimeter paths that visually connect different zones of the park.

In accordance with ANAC remotely piloted aircraft system regulations and DECEA ICA 100-40 airspace management rules, the park’s combination of open clearings, forest gaps, and controlled open-air corridors supports structured drone operations. The environment enables aerial ecological documentation, biodiversity imaging, and urban environmental mapping within Brazilian civil aviation standards.
