Drone Rules for SAAB - EMBRAER
The airspace over and surrounding the EMBRAER Gavião Peixoto Facility & Test Runway (SBGP) (Gavião Peixoto, SP) is classified as an absolute Strategic Aerospace Defense & Flight Test Zone, Experimental Aircraft Corridor, and National Security No-Fly Zone. Civilian drone flights are strictly banned.
The EMBRAER Gavião Peixoto facility, operated in deep strategic partnership with defense giants like SAAB, is one of the most critical national defense installations in the Southern Hemisphere. Spanning over 3,600 acres, this facility features the longest commercial flight test runway in the Americas (\(16,301\text{ ft}\) / \(4,967\text{ m}\)). It serves as the primary final assembly, integration, and flight-testing hub for highly classified military hardware, including the F-39 Gripen supersonic fighter jets, the KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft, and various unmanned tactical surveillance platforms.
The entire federal aerospace compound is heavily fortified, surrounded by strict physical buffers, and continuously monitored by active radar networks and armed military security details. Any civilian drone attempting to breach the perimeter without a high-level joint military-corporate mandate and a direct tactical flight waiver authorized through DECEA’s SARPAS NG portal will be aggressively jammed and downed. Operators face immediate federal custody, heavy international fines, and severe prosecution under state espionage and national security laws.
