After
The 62º Batalhão de Infantaria (62º BI), historically known as the Batalhão Francisco de Lima e Silva, occupies a sprawling, highly prominent military compound located at Rua Ministro Calógeras, 1200, in the central Atiradores neighborhood of Joinville. Subordinated to the 5th Military Region and the 5th Army Division, this historic unit is an elite piece of the Brazilian Army's southern structure, famous for deploying highly trained troops both for domestic border reinforcement and high-stakes international United Nations peacekeeping missions (such as inside Angola and Haiti). The entire military area is fenced, highly secure, and continuously guarded 24/7 by armed Army sentries and military police. Any civilian drone attempting to breach the boundary or film the barracks without a direct military command waiver and an official, pre-vetted flight authorization filed through DECEA's SARPAS NG portal will be actively countered and downed. Operators face immediate federal arrest, equipment seizure, and harsh penalties under the Military Penal Code.
