Before
After
Florianópolis International Airport (SBFL), managed by Zurich Airport Brasil, is a high-traffic international gateway in Santa Catarina. The airport handles a constant flow of large commercial passenger aircraft, cargo flights, and executive aviation. Because the runway is geographically positioned near urban neighborhoods, coastal mangrove areas, and major access highways, arriving and departing aircraft fly at very low altitudes over these zones. Uncoordinated drone operations anywhere near the airport perimeter or within its active approach paths present an immediate and severe hazard to flight safety. Consequently, spontaneous or recreational drone flights in these areas are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261). Regulatory Authorities: DECEA, ANAC, and Zurich Airport Brasil. Primary Framework: ICA 100-40 (DECEA) and Article 261 of the Brazilian Penal Code. Flight Planning Portal: Operational safety grids and mandatory geofencing zones are managed via SARPAS NG and Aisweb.
