Drone Rules for Bagé International Airport
Critical No-Fly Zone covering Bagé Airport (SBBG). All unauthorized drone flights are strictly prohibited within this airspace to eliminate collision risks with regional commercial turboprops, executive aviation, and military aircraft.
Comandante Gustavo Kraemer Airport (SBBG) is a strategic regional airfield located in Bagé, near the southern border of Rio Grande do Sul. It plays a key role in connecting the state's southern plains region, handling scheduled regional commercial flights, private corporate aircraft, and seasonal agricultural aviation. Additionally, due to its proximity to the national border, the airfield regularly supports vital operations by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and federal law enforcement agencies.
Because arriving and departing aircraft operate at low altitudes over the surrounding rural-urban borders and local highways, uncoordinated drone activity poses an immediate threat to aviation safety. Spontaneous or recreational drone flights within the airfield perimeter or its active traffic patterns are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261).
