The airspace over and directly adjacent to Arsenal de Guerra do Rio de Janeiro (AGRJ) in Caju, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, is classified as a strictly restricted military zone. All unauthorized drone operations are completely prohibited within this airspace to protect national security, prevent espionage.

The Arsenal de Guerra do Rio de Janeiro (AGRJ) is a highly sensitive and historic military manufacturing and maintenance facility operated by the Brazilian Army. Located in the Caju neighborhood along the Guanabara Bay, this installation is responsible for the development, repair, and storage of heavy weaponry, artillery, and tactical equipment used by national defense forces. Because of the nature of the work conducted inside the complex, the airspace above it is strictly closed to civilian drones.

Flying a drone near or over a military barracks, arsenal, or base presents severe security risks, including the potential leakage of classified infrastructure layouts and the disruption of tactical communications. Furthermore, the facility sits within the complex airspace mesh of Rio de Janeiro, meaning unauthorized flights also threaten low-altitude military helicopter transits. Operating an unauthorized drone inside a restricted military perimeter is a serious violation of Brazilian aviation regulations (DECEA ICA 100-40) and can result in immediate confiscation of the equipment, heavy federal fines, and criminal prosecution under the Brazilian Penal Code for endangering public and national security.
