The Depósito Central de Munição do Exército (Army Central Ammunition Depot), located in a heavily guarded valley in Paracambi, is the primary strategic storage and logistics facility for explosives, heavy ammunition, and tactical ordnance used by the Brazilian Army. Due to the high-stakes nature of the materials housed inside the underground bunkers and secure warehouses, this military complex operates under maximum security protocols.
Operating an unauthorized drone near a major ammunition storage base introduces severe hazards. Beyond the obvious threat of illegal reconnaissance or tactical espionage mapping, the radio frequencies emitted by a drone’s controller or video transmitter could potentially interfere with sensitive electronic military equipment. Furthermore, any accidental crash resulting in battery combustion near volatile storage zones carries a risk of catastrophic explosion. Under DECEA regulation ICA 100-40 and national defense laws, entering this airspace without exceptional military command clearance is a major federal offense, resulting in immediate tactical neutralisation of the aircraft, gear seizure, and severe criminal prosecution.
