Drone Rules for Juvenal Cardoso Municipal Airport
Critical No-Fly Zone covering Pato Branco Airport (SSPB). All unauthorized drone flights are strictly prohibited within this airspace to eliminate collision risks with scheduled regional commercial flights and corporate executive aviation. Only exceptional operations with explicit DECEA clearance via SARPAS NG.
Pato Branco Airport (SSPB) is a key regional airfield located in southwest Paraná. It acts as an important economic connection for the region, handling scheduled commercial turboprop flights alongside steady private executive aviation and air taxi operations.
The airport is positioned close to the urban periphery and industrial areas of Pato Branco. Because arriving and departing aircraft operate under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and instrument procedures at low altitudes directly over the surrounding terrain, any uncoordinated drone activity creates an immediate risk to flight safety. Spontaneous or recreational drone flights within the airfield perimeter or its active traffic patterns are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261).
Regulatory Authorities: DECEA, ANAC, and the Municipal Administration of Pato Branco.
Primary Framework: ICA 100-40 (DECEA) and Article 261 of the Brazilian Penal Code.
Flight Planning Portal: Operational safety grids and airspace restrictions are managed via SARPAS NG and Aisweb.
