The 5º Batalhão de Suprimento (Batalhão Marechal Bitencourt) is a critical logistical asset operated by the Brazilian Army. Located in Curitiba, this high-security complex is responsible for the storage, management, and distribution of multi-class military supplies—including operational equipment, provisions, fuel, and specialized materials—for units operating under the 5th Military Region (covering the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina).
Operating an unauthorized civilian drone near a primary regional supply battalion introduces major security vulnerabilities. The primary risks include tactical surveillance of military mobilization, illegal mapping of secure warehouse layouts, and potential electronic interference with military communication arrays. Under DECEA instruction ICA 100-40, civilian unmanned aircraft systems are entirely barred from entering this active military sector.
