Cascavel Airport (SBCA) is a major regional aviation hub located in western Paraná. It serves as a vital economic link for the state's highly productive agribusiness sector, handling daily scheduled commercial flights operated by mainline passenger jets and regional turboprops, alongside a high volume of private corporate aircraft.

The airport is situated in close proximity to expanding urban neighborhoods and major agricultural transit highways. Because commercial airliners and executive aircraft operate at low altitudes during their final landing approaches and initial climb phases, any uncoordinated drone activity within this sector poses an immediate threat to flight safety. Spontaneous or recreational drone flights within the airfield perimeter or its active traffic funnels are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261).

Regulatory Authorities: DECEA, ANAC, and the Municipal Administration of Cascavel.

Primary Framework: ICA 100-40 (DECEA) and Article 261 of the Brazilian Penal Code.

Flight Planning Portal: Operational safety grids and airspace restrictions are managed via SARPAS NG and Aisweb.
