Drone Rules for Aeroporto regional de Balsa Nova
Restricted No Fly Zone covering Asas de Balsa Nova / Balsa Nova Regional Airport (SJPR). Unauthorized drone flights near the runway, traffic pattern, approach or departure paths are prohibited due to collision risk with low altitude general aviation and aeroclub traffic. Operations require prior DECEA authorization.
Asas de Balsa Nova (SJPR), commonly referred to as Balsa Nova Regional Airport, is a private aerodrome located in Balsa Nova, Paraná. It serves small general aviation and aeroclub activity, including light aircraft operations and pilot training. The aerodrome operates under daytime visual flight rules and has a short asphalt runway aligned 03/21.
Drone activity around this airfield is considered high risk because aircraft may be operating visually at low altitude during takeoff, landing, circuit traffic, local training flights and nearby approach or departure segments. Small aircraft using private aerodromes often have limited time and altitude to detect and avoid drones, especially close to the runway axis or traffic pattern. Local aeronautical information also highlights the need for coordination between nearby Balsa Nova aerodromes to avoid simultaneous departures with converging headings, reinforcing the sensitivity of this low altitude airspace.
For this reason, spontaneous or recreational drone flights should not be conducted near SJPR without checking current aeronautical information and obtaining the required airspace authorization. Drone pilots must review SARPAS NG, AISWEB/ROTAER, NOTAMs and applicable operational safety grids before flight. Any authorized operation must remain clear of aircraft trajectories, maintain safe separation from manned aviation, and comply with DECEA and ANAC requirements.
