The Palácio de Karnak, located on Avenida Antonino Freire in the heart of Teresina, is the official seat of the Executive branch of the State Government of Piauí. The historic neoclassical palace, named after the ancient Egyptian Temple of Karnak, serves as the main workspace for the Governor, houses top-tier state cabinet meetings, and is managed by the Gabinete Militar do Piauí (State Military Cabinet).
Operating an unauthorized or recreational civilian drone near this executive building is strictly illegal. The security architecture focuses heavily on preventing:
Unauthorized Intelligence Gathering: Preventing tactical mapping of executive arrival routes, structural layout monitoring, or airborne privacy intrusion into high-level administrative meetings.
Low-Altitude Urban Collision Hazards: The central district of Teresina features routine low-altitude flight transits by state defense, military, and emergency medical helicopters. Uncoordinated drones in this airspace pose an immediate collision risk.
The perimeter is actively monitored 24/7 by CCTV grids and specialized tactical teams from the Gabinete Militar and the Military Police. Any civilian drone attempting to fly over the palace gates, inner gardens, or roof lines will face immediate tactical neutralization. The equipment will be permanently confiscated, and the operator will be detained on the spot and handed over to federal authorities for prosecution under DECEA instruction ICA 100-40 and national security codes.
