Goiânia International Airport (SBGO), managed by CCR Aeroportos, is a major aviation hub in central Brazil. It handles a continuous flow of large commercial airliners alongside one of the nation's busiest networks of executive turboprops, air taxis, and aeromedical flights.

Because the airport is embedded within the urban fabric of Goiânia, aircraft operate at very low altitudes directly over dense residential neighborhoods, commercial sectors, and major highways during their final landing approaches and initial climbs. Uncoordinated drone activity within these heavily traveled corridors poses an immediate and severe hazard to flight safety. Consequently, spontaneous or recreational drone flights within the airfield perimeter or its active traffic patterns are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261).

Regulatory Authorities: DECEA, ANAC, and CCR Aeroportos.

Primary Framework: ICA 100-40 (DECEA) and Article 261 of the Brazilian Penal Code.

Flight Planning Portal: Operational safety grids and airspace restrictions are managed via SARPAS NG and Aisweb.
