The airspace over and surrounding the Palácio do Planalto (Brasília, DF) is classified as a strictly Prohibited National Security Zone. All unauthorized civilian drone operations are completely banned within this perimeter to guarantee the safety of the President, secure state communications.

The Palácio do Planalto, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and located at the Three Powers Plaza, is the official workplace of the President of Brazil. As the physical seat of the federal executive power, this high-profile facility operates under the highest level of security and counter-surveillance protocols in the country, tightly managed by the Institutional Security Office (GSI).

Operating a civilian drone anywhere near this government palace introduces severe risks of corporate espionage, state intelligence leaks, and direct physical threats to domestic and foreign heads of state. The entire Esplanade of Ministries region in Brasília is blanketed by advanced anti-drone defense systems, radar tracking, and signal jamming technology. Flying a drone here without highly exceptional, pre-approved clearance from the Ministry of Defense and DECEA directly violates airspace instruction ICA 100-40 and national security laws, leading to immediate asset seizure, arrest by federal authorities, and severe criminal prosecution.
