The airspace over and surrounding the Fortaleza Air Force Base (BAFZ) (Fortaleza, CE) is classified as a critical Strategic Northeastern Deployment Hub, Joint Military-Civilian Air Corridor, and National Security No-Fly Zone. Civilian drone flights are strictly banned across the entire military installation.

Moving back to heavy military assets—this time in the Northeast region—the Base Aérea de Fortaleza (BAFZ) is a highly strategic stronghold for the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). Located right in the urban heart of Ceará's capital, BAFZ serves as a critical logistical staging ground, search and rescue coordination center, and strategic refueling point for tactical forces monitoring the massive equatorial South Atlantic coastline.

The entire military complex is heavily secure, walled off, and actively patrolled by armed Air Force military police. Any civilian drone attempting to fly inside the BAFZ perimeter or its approach funnels without an explicit military mandate and direct tactical waiver cleared through DECEA’s SARPAS NG portal will be aggressively downed. Operators face immediate arrest under the Military Penal Code, heavy federal fines, and asset confiscation.
