Critical No-Fly Zone covering Barcelos Airport (SWBC). All unauthorized drone flights are strictly prohibited within this airspace to eliminate collision risks with regional turboprops, air taxis, and intensive sport-fishing charter flights.

Barcelos Airport (SWBC) is a strategic regional airfield located in northern Amazonas, situated right along the Negro River. It serves as the primary logistical gateway for the region's world-famous ecotourism and sport-fishing sectors, experiencing a high volume of unscheduled air taxis, regional turboprops, and private charters during the peak season.

Because the runway is embedded directly within the urban fabric of Barcelos, aircraft operate at extremely low altitudes over residential neighborhoods, schools, and the riverbank during their final landing approaches and takeoffs. Due to the high frequency of small aircraft operating under visual flight rules (VFR), any uncoordinated drone activity poses an immediate threat to aviation safety. Spontaneous or recreational drone flights within the airfield perimeter or its active traffic paths are completely banned under federal law (Brazilian Penal Code, Art. 261).

Regulatory Authorities: DECEA, ANAC, and the Municipal Administration of Barcelos.

Primary Framework: ICA 100-40 (DECEA) and Article 261 of the Brazilian Penal Code.

Flight Planning Portal: Operational safety grids and airspace restrictions are managed via SARPAS NG and Aisweb.
