TINYWHOOP SPOT: Like most schools in North Texas, the building itself could not be more uninteresting, but the place of interest here is the small playground. It is a great place for tinywhoop freestyle, however it must be noted that this is an elementary school after all, so absolutely do not come during school hours, or when there is an event there. This elementary school borders J.R. Newman park, and is surrounded by residential area.
This spot is not even worth considering a spot for any drone that is not a tinywhoop.

OPEN FIELD: This park is a sports complex, with 2 rectangular fields for sports like soccer or lacrosse, and 5 baseball/softball fields. There is also a small playground, and a bathroom. Out of the 2 soccer-style fields, one is full sized, and the other is smaller, but it is seldom used, which makes it a great open space for tinywhoops.
For FPV Drones: It is a bit small for a 5-inch, but it will do. There is a water tower essentially inside the park, but it is fenced off, so if you dive the tower and crash, you’d better pray you can turtle mode and fly back.
For Camera Drones: It is a good place to fly, there is lots of space, but there are often at least a few people on the fields.
Note: This park is next to Reedy High School.

CAMERA & TINYWHOOP SPOT: J.R. Newman Park has a large field that envelops a small playground and splash pad. There is definitely enough space for both a camera drone and a 5” freestyle quad, but there is not much to do for a freestyle quad. However, there are some trees that could make for some great tight proxy freestyle with a tinywhoop. This park is surrounded by residential area, and borders a small elementary school, Izetta Sparks Elementary School, so it is important to keep that in mind.

CAMERA & FPV SPOT: This park has a small playground(almost always has at least a few people), a basketball court, and two medium sized fields, separated only by a sidewalk and some trees. The park is surrounded by residential area, so there is nothing of interest around. The fields are a good size for a camera drone. The park is a decent treestyle spot, and people being at the playground is usually not a problem because of the park’s layout. I have found the best place to fly freestyle from/around is the bench in between the two fields, and it is far enough from the playground that people there will not be a problem. You will need at least a fast 2”, and up to a 5”, or maybe even larger. There is not a whole lot to do at this spot, but this area of Texas is notoriously lacking of good freestyle spots, so for the region, Pearson Acres park is a good freestyle spot.
