Robert Moses State Park

This is one of the most reliable coastal drone spots on Long Island because of its huge open beaches, long straight shoreline, and clear views of Fire Island and the lighthouse. The drone generally handles very well here at mid to low altitudes since the open space gives you room for stable movement, but wind coming off the Atlantic can still be strong and affect longer flights. It’s especially good for smooth lateral tracking shots along the surf and wide establishing shots that show the full curve of the barrier island. You also get really strong composition opportunities with the Fire Island Lighthouse in the distance, which works well for cinematic reveals. Golden hour flights are especially impressive here because the low sun lights up both the water and dunes with warm, clean tones.
