This is one of the most dramatic flying spots on Long Island, with high cliffs, crashing Atlantic waves, and the iconic lighthouse creating a perfect focal point for cinematic shots. The drone generally handles well in open areas, but this is a wind-heavy environment, so you’ll feel stronger gusts especially near the cliff edges that can push the aircraft unexpectedly. It’s excellent for wide reveal shots where you start inland and move out over the ocean for that “edge of the world” look. The textures here are really strong from above—rock formations, foam patterns in the water, and layered coastline all add depth to your footage. Sunrise and sunset flights are especially powerful because the low-angle light exaggerates the cliffs and makes the ocean color pop.
