Red Lake

Red Lake (Romanian: Lacul Roșu) is a natural barrier lake located in the Eastern Carpathians, near the town of Gheorgheni in Harghita County, Romania. Formed by a landslide in the 19th century, it is noted for its striking reddish hues and the submerged tree trunks that still emerge from its surface.
