Danube Delta

The Delta Dunării (Danube Delta) is a vast wetland in southeastern Romania where the Dunărea flows into the Marea Neagră. It is one of Europe’s largest and best-preserved river deltas, renowned for exceptional biodiversity and distinctive landscapes of channels, lakes, reeds, and floating islands. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve, it is a critical habitat for wildlife and a unique cultural region of Romania.
